REMINDER: Bombs to Drop at Camp Pendleton
Marine Corps aircraft units are scheduled to drop 500 pounds of high explosive bombs as part of training starting at noon.
Marine Corps aircraft units will drop 500 pounds of high explosive bombs as part of training at Camp Pendleton today, base officials said.
The training will take place in the Zulu impact area, near the center of North County base, from noon to 2 p.m., according to Camp Pendleton's public affairs office.
During the training, loud booms may be heard up to 50 miles away.
