Health & Fitness

Here's my flyer so far. It has been submitted to the mayor, and passed out to several RVers:

I need an army of volunteers to protect this basic human right to exist.

To All Those Who Profess To Be an Adult, not an insane child in an Adult’s body,

With a Conscience Which Cannot Be Bought Out

As of October 16, 2012, the City of Carlsbad is proposing to ban ALL RV parking at night throughout the entire city. (If you aren’t an RVer, this is about the right to exist, dignity and freedom.)

The reason for this proposal is crystal clear. The City, for whatever (usually elitest and arrogant) reason, along with “supposed” complaining residents who harbor the same mentality, despise people who live in these RVs.  Nothing different under the sun from the beginning of man on this planet.

The reasons most people live in their RV, Van, Car, etc., is to simply be able to exist. To have a simple roof over their head until the economy changes or they can find work that will pay a living wage so they can rent an apartment or the like.

Most RVers are exceedingly clean, are exceedingly quiet and do not bother a soul, actually they go out of their way to make sure of this. This is not to mention that a person living in an RV creates a mere fraction of the pollution on the environment that most homeowner/apartment dwellers in society can’t help but do, for whom say is an issue of utmost importance to them.  (A fraction of the electricity, water, etc.).

Any real issues such as crazy, loud or violent behavior, or trashing an area, or any other “non-neighborly” behavior is an element of the entire society, and can easily and simply be dealt with (usually by the police) on those bases, not as an excuse to bamboozle the support of unsuspecting people in our community against innocent RVers simply trying to stay alive.

An obvious thing that’s missing right off the bat in the statements and writings of The City, along with the “supposed” complaining residents, in their rush to obtain such law is their lack of one peep, one word, of the real issues with full time RVers. They simply paint, out of thin air, full time RVers with negative issues (drugs/trash/child molestation, etc.)  that most people would find immediately offensive, thereafter equating RVers with such problems.

Oh yes, they will superficially sound “all for the good and welfare” of the people. But just one small piercing beneath the surface reveals the usual suspects man has been plagued with for…forever:  Arrogance, possessiveness, greed, self-centeredness, utter lack of conscience, utter lack of decency, utter lack of humanity, utter lack of recognition of another’s basic needs to merely exist, never mind live.

I will be putting these flyers on all the RVs and businesses I can in Carlsbad.

I need all the help I can get to do this, to organize an opposition to this stunning outrage against human dignity and the right to exist. ((1) Phone tree, (2) people to show up and speak at all the forums and/or city council meetings before the vote on this law, (3) finding an attorney for a class action lawsuit if it passes, etc..
