"Once she heard about that.. she wanted to do it," said Lilli's mother, Melanie Sliwka. "I just attended Amy Miller's parenting class and learned a lot about empowering our kids so I asked Lilli if she would want to organize an event so others could donate as well...and she was off and running."
Lilli started making posters and even phone calls to arrange the hair dressers.
"I'm just here to help and be her right hand mom," Sliwka said.
So far two people have signed up to donate ten inches of hair to Locks of Love, but Sliwka and her daughter are hoping to get ten people signed up.
The event is open to the public. Get a free holiday haircut by stylist Charlotte Lollick and her crew on Wednesday, Dec. 12 at 2:30 p.m. at Hope Elementary.

Prizes will be a awarded for the longest donation and the shortest hair cut.
