CUSD Teachers and Staff Honored
Behind every doctor, dentist, lawyer, engineer, scientist there was a teacher who taught them their profession.
Carlsbad Unified School District honored staff members Wednesday at the board meeting at the Carlsbad Council Chamber.
The CUSD honored Emma Cobb, Kelly Momeyer, Rosalie Fischer, Michelle Ward, Susan Wolley, Chris Robertson, Debbie Smith, Therese Nugent, Cindy Nichols, Roberta Schmitt, Ashley Hartman, Libbi Swanson, and Terry Allen for attribution to the educational system.
The Teacher of the Year award went to Aviara Oaks Middle Teacher, Kelly Momeyer and The Classified Employee of the month went to Administrative Assistant, Mary Christian, from Jefferson Elementary School.

“A selection committee consisting of the Superintendent, Assist Superintendent, Personnel Services, 2012 Teacher of the Year, and the Parent/Superintendent Advisory Council Chairperson observed three finalist in the classroom and interviewed them,” stated Rick Grove, Assistant Superintendent, Personnel Services.
Both winners received recognition for their work and $200 Visa gift cards from Mission Federal Credit Union.
