Downtown Carlsbad Twinkles with the Lighting of a Christmas Tree in the Village

The 27th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Party brings in the spirt of the season.

"I love Christmas, and it's a great time of the year," said one Carlsbad mother, Stephanie Villa, at the 27th annual Carlsbad Holiday Christmas Tree lighting event, on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 4 in downtown Carlsbad.  She and her husband, Jamy, and their three daughters came to visit Santa and enjoy an afternoon of holiday cheer.

Carlsbad Mayor, Matt Hall, officially "lit" the Christmas tree at the Village Faire plaza. The lights were turned on at dusk, following a few hours of entertainment, cookie eating, and craft making. Kids (and their parents) also had a few minutes to meet with Santa Claus, and have their picture taken with him.

Part of the fun and entertainment, were live performances from a few local schools. A Madrigal Chorus from sang carols, as did a childrens choir. Also, the 's performed and they were joined by, the "Junior Lancer Dancers," a group of grade school girls who are learning dance moves from the teenagers.

This yearly event was made possible with help from the . Mayor Hall said, "it's an exciting day for all of us to come together and light the tree – and it's all for the children, and what we do is really for them. It's an opportuntiy for us to give back to our next generation."

The Christmas tree is located at 300 Carlsbad Village Drive, in the Village Faire shopping plaza.

Aristotle felt that by becoming licensed professionals in the U.S. shortly after their arrival to the shores of the U.S., they would have a greater opportunity to receive better clinical positions when they applied for the work-study internships that they were eligible to participate in....' the school told students that were enrolled in masters' degrees that certification as a cna was part of the road to obtaining a masters degree ?? stop right there... masters in public health is an administrative position that has nothing to do with being a cna....and i'm sure people didn't travel thousands of miles to do the grunt work in a hospital.... yea, getting a cna license is a great suggestion for an 18 year old that's going into the nursing field....but not for someone in the masters' program.... and fyi phony college.....in this country a person has to have a 4 year degree before they can apply for the masters' program....
