Carlsbad Unified School District is reaching out to parents of preschoolers in the community and invited them to come to their neighborhood schools to begin the registration process and find out what Kindergarten looks like.

The principals will do an informative presentation on Kindergarten Readiness, with activities and suggestions that can help preschoolers have a smooth transition into Kindergarten.

Some of these dates are a bit earlier than they have been in the past.

Hi! We are moving from New Jersey to Carlsbad, and our son will be starting Kindergarten this coming school year. We were not planning on moving until April, however I have heard that the Carlsbad kindergarten programs will fill up. Is this true? If so, I will be sure to get our new home aligned in the next few days so I can have our new address to enroll our son in school. Any thoughts/advice on this and how it all works? Thanks great for any help!
