Sage Creek High School Announces Athletic Program and Upcoming Information Sessions

The school will be the first in the Carlsbad Unified School District to have a field hockey team, as CHS does not have one.

Athletics

The Sage Creek High School Bobcat's will not have a football team, but they will have other athletic teams using the new school's football field.

In the fall the school will have girls golf, tennis, field hockey, and volleyball and both boys and girls cross country.

Winter sports for girls and boys will be basketball and soccer, as well as wrestling for the boys.

Spring sports will be lacrosse and softball for the girls and baseball, golf, lacrosse, tennis and volleyball for the guys. Both boys and girls will have track and field teams in the Spring as well.

Information Sessions

SCHS Principal Cesar Morales is hosting evening events for parents of current 8th and 9th grade students to determine which high school their student(s) will attend for the 2013-14 academic year. This decision will be declared in the month of January, 2013, during the District's Open Enrollment window.

  • The first hosted event at Calavera Hills Middle School on Thursday (11/15) and had just over 100 parents in attendance.
  • There are two upcoming evening events scheduled: Valley Middle School on Tuesday (11/27) and Aviara Oaks Middle School on Thursday (11/29), both events begin at 6 p.m.
