San Diego Padres' Chase Headley Reads to Aviara Oaks Students

Headley also gave a special congratulations to two students who collectively read more than 2000 chapters!

Former valedictorian and San Diego Padres’ 3rd baseman Chase Headley made a special visit to Ms. Kathleen Gilmore's 4th-5th combo class at .

The class collectively read 10,641 books in the Mission Federal Credit Union, San Diego County Office of Education & XX Sports Radio “Read with a Pro” reading contest. 

Headley read Casey At The Bat to the kids, while also announcing the two students who read the most individually—fourth grader Elisse Chow who read 1,080 chapters and fourth grader Bryce Hayashida who read 921 chapters.
