Video: CHS Students Create Lunchtime Parking Lot Dance Floor

While heading back to my car from a story at Carlsbad High School, I stopped to watch some talented students who spend the lunch break at CHS dancing on cardboard. Check out their moves.

The students tell me they dance every day in the parking lot of Carlsbad High on a cardboard mat or "dancefloor" they created. They play music from their cars.

When asked if it hurts to do spins on their heads and other moves in the parking lot, they told me that's what the cardboard is for, to make it hurt less, but yes it still hurts sometimes.

The style of dancing is a mix of freestyling, top rocking and popping.
