SMASHBURGER FIRES UP NORTH COUNTY WITH 11th SAN DIEGO RESTAURANT OPENING

Smashburger, the nation’s fastest growing “better burger” restaurant, is celebrating three years in San Diego by bringing its fresh approach to San Marcos by opening its eleventh San Diego location on May 1, 2013, at 763 Center Drive (next to Starbucks). Smashburger will be dishing up juicy burgers that are smashed fresh and served delicious, along with Smashchicken® sandwiches, salads, hand-spun Haagen-Dazs® shakes, tempting sides and regional menu items crafted to please locals’ palates to North County. Every Smashburger features a regional menu created with local flavors and tastes in mind. The San Marcos menu includes the San Diego Smashburger: 100-percent Angus Beef burger topped with fresh avocado, cilantro, pepper jack, lettuce, tomato, onion, sour cream and chipotle mayo on a telera roll served with a wedge of lime. As part of the Smashburger three-year birthday celebration and 11th store opening, Smashburger-San Marcos is giving back to the community: • The first 11 people who visited Smashburger-San Marcos on May 1 received a free meal • From May 1 – 7, with a fundraising flyer, $1 of every entrée purchased at Smashburger-San Marcos will be donated to the Valley of Discovery Education Foundation At Smashburger, the secret is in the smash. It starts with 100-percent—fresh, never frozen, Angus Beef and is smashed on a 400-degree flat grill to sear in the juicy flavor. To further the “better burger” experience, the delicious burgers are served on a toasted artisan bun and topped with a selection of the freshest produce, real cheeses, and highest-quality condiments. Smashburger’s signature recipes and create your own burgers are smashed fresh, served delicious every time. But Smashburger is more than just burgers. Customers can also enjoy a selection of tender marinated grilled or crispy chicken sandwiches, grilled and split hot dogs, and fresh tossed signature salads, along with a variety of irresistible sides including rosemary and garlic–seasoned Smashfries, Haystack Onions, and Veggie Frites (carrot sticks and green beans).
