2014 Marshall Faulk Celebrity Championship Coming to Carlsbad

The Celebrity Championship hosted by former NFL player Marshall Faulk is in its 16th year and will be held at the majestic, Omni La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad this month. The Celebrity Championship is a weekend long golf tournament, which is notorious for attracting some of the finest celebrity golfers in the world each and every year. Participants compete for a cash purse  along with the coveted Celebrity Championship trophy.

The Celebrity Championship is a fantastic event for fans of all ages including families, friends and business professionals to network and foster new connections.  The 2014 Celebrity Championship includes a two-day Celebrity-Amateur tournament (May 16-17) nightly parties, and a 36-hole, celebrity-only competition (May 17-18). Attendees will get up close with celebrities and fans can participate in several free events throughout the week including: autographs, kids’ celebrity golf clinic and the 8th annual Military Appreciation Day. With so many high-profile celebrities, there’s no other event of its kind in San Diego.

Since its inauguration year in 1999, the Celebrity Championship has raised more than $1.3 million on behalf of numerous San Diego based charities. The 2014 charitable proceeds will not only benefit the Marshall Faulk Foundation, but will also benefit the Junior Seau Foundation.

This year’s tournament will include Ray Romano, Brian Baumgartner, Lucas Black, Jerry Rice, Goose Gossage, Bruce Jenner and many more, but you don’t have to be a celebrity to participate.
