The Second Annual Lagoon Day Walk/Run will be held on Sunday morning, July 22, 2012 with 3 specified courses leading to the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Discovery Center.
The fun family event -- created to celebrate Carlsbad’s coastal community and preserve and educate future lagoon stewards -- will incorporate scenic walk/run courses and culminate in a BBQ lunch provided by Tip Top Meats, awards and presentations, and more at The Agua Hedionda Lagoon Discovery Center located at 1580 Cannon Road.
Hollywood television celebrities will be on hand to show their support for our lagoons and include event “host” Christopher Knight who played “Peter” on “The Brady Bunch,” Sean Astin of “The Lord of the Rings” and “Rudy” fame and others.

Prizes will be awarded to the top fundraising teams. Corporate teams of 20 can enter for $1,000 and individual Walk/Run prices will vary from $25 to $50. Sponsorships are still available.
