San Diego Coastkeeper, along with Surfrider San Diego Chapter, hosts twice-monthly beach cleanups throughout San Diego County. Residents of all ages are encouraged to help protect and preserve one of San Diego’s most valuable assets by cleaning local beaches. The first beach cleanup of February will be hosted in South Carlsbad at the Ponto Jetty. Volunteers should meet at the beach parking lot south of the jetty and lagoon. BYOB--Bring Your Own Reusable Bag, Bucket, Bottle and Gloves. There will be supplies on hand, but volunteers should bring their own work gloves, reusable bag/bucket and/or reusable water bottle.
