After some afternoon racing, bop to the mellow and bluesy beat of G. Love & Special Sauce at the first show of the Del Mar Summer Concert Series. The performance is free with paid racetrack admission ($6 for Stretch Run and $10 for Clubhouse). Admission is $20 for concert-only access following the start of the last race.
G. Love & Special Sauce is the first of 10 concerts at Del Mar including Weezer, Ben Harper and Jimmy Eat World. The first race is at 4 p.m. with the last race scheduled for approximately 6:30 p.m. Concerts begin following the last race on the new Seaside Stage located at the West end of the Grandstand.
