Video: National Champion Pushes the Limits

Carlsbad resident Erica Davis shows us what working out really looks like, and how mountains can be scaled no matter what physical condition you are in.

Update: Erica Davis has been selected as Huffington Post's Greatest Person of the Day. To see who else has held this title, go to huffingtonpost.com/news/greatest-person-of-the-day

The video attached to this article was filmed at  where Erica Davis trains. A condition that affects one in five million people paralyzed her less than a year after she graduated from college.

Being in a wheelchair hasn't stopped her from continuing to participate in sports. In fact, Erica was the first female in a chair to summit Mount Kilimanjaro.

Erica recently won first place in the USA paratriathlon nationals held in Austin, TX. Erica has also qualified for a spot on Team USA for the ITU (International Triathlon Union) Paratriathlon World Championships in Auckland New Zealand, on Oct. 22.
