Integral Senior Living Moves Up On Provider’s Top 40 Largest Assisted Living Companies

Carlsbad based Integral Senior Living (ISL), a leader in managing senior communities, was recently named the 14th largest assisted living company in Provider magazine’s 2012 Top 40 Largest Assisted Living Companies list.  In 2011, ISL was ranked the 15th largest. Currently, ISL manages 50 CCRC’s, independent living, assisted living and memory care communities throughout ten states.

“In the last year we have increased the number of communities we manage, and have remained committed to providing the best in assisted living care,” said Collette Valentine, COO for ISL.  “In the future we anticipate continued growth for ISL as the marketplace expands and the need for services such as ours remains strong.”

ISL has experienced significant growth over the last few years. The 2012 Largest Senior Living Provider list published by Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) ranked ISL the 17th largest Senior Living Provider in the United States. In 2011, the American Senior Housing Association’s (ASHA) 50 Survey acknowledged that ISL was the leading management company to have posted the greatest percentage increase in the number of units managed between 2010 and 2011. And in 2010, Inc. magazine ranked ISL at #1552 out of 5000 for the “Fastest Growing Companies in America.”

Overall the senior living industry remains optimistic about future growth with the  expansion of ancillary services and specialty care among assisted living providers.  Provider noted that ISL is continuing to implement Generations, its popular program based on person-centered care while providing engaging and stimulating environments through dining and activity programs for those with memory loss. The 2012 Provider lineup of companies represents a resident capacity of more than 208,000 and more than 2,340 buildings.
