The Carlsbad Battling Lancer Girls Still Fighting to Get to National Cheer Competition in Orlando, Fl

Carlsbad Pop Warner Jr. Pee Wee cheer squad work hard to raise money to cover the cost of their trip to the 2012 Pop Warner National Cheer Competition in Orlando, Florida.

If you were walking around Carlsbad Village last Saturday, watching the Sunday morning KUSI news, or at Qualcomm Stadium for the Charger game, then you probably saw the Carlsbad Pop Warner Jr. Pee Wee Cheer Squad working hard to raise much needed funds to offset the cost of their upcoming trip to the Pop Warner National Cheer Championship in Orlando, Florida on  Dec. 3, 2012.  The Battling Lancer Girls, ages 9-11, enthusiatically solicited donations all weekend earning just over $700.00 toward their travel fund.  They are still well below the amount needed to cover their expenses which will exceed $23,000 for the team of 20 girls that are attending the National Competition.

The team will be holding another fundraiser on Wed., Nov. 28, 2012 from 5:00-8:00pm at Knock Out Pizzaria located at 2937 Carlsbad Boulevard in Carlsbad.  Knock Out is gratiously donating 50% of the proceeds directly to the team for travel expenses.  No flyers are needed, all patrons have to do is mention Carlsbad Pop Warner and their purchase will count toward the team.  There is also a raffle planned.  Prizes include: Knock Out Pizzaria Gift Cards, Carlsbad Lancer Gear, $25.00 Senior Grubby's Gift Card and more.  Please come show your support for The Carlsbad Battling Lancer Girls as the head off to Orlando to represent the City of Carlsbad and hopefully come back as National Champions.
