North County Health Services Raises Over $100K for New Pediatric Clinic

The money was raised at the annual Fore For Kids VIII Golf Classic at The Crossings in Carlsbad.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from the golf classic will benefit the pediatric clinic of the organization’s new Carlsbad Health Center, said North County Health Services (NCHS) CEO Irma Cota. More than 144 golfers participated in the event raising over $102,000.

“This year’s golf classic totally exceeded our expectations and we are grateful for the outstanding support from North County San Diego businesses and organizations that will help us meet the healthcare needs of our community,” said Cota. “Our new Carlsbad facility at 1295 Carlsbad Village Drive is being expanded to accommodate the growth and expansion of our medical services in the area.”

The golf tournament and all fundraising efforts in 2012 are supplementing NCHS’s capital campaign to equip the 2,695 square foot “cold shell” building that will house the new Carlsbad Health Center, scheduled to open in early 2013.
