Prepper's Fair Helps Locals Get Ready for Emergencies, Disasters

Be Ready Prepper Fair brings preparedness and ham radio experts together to provide the tools and education to help you prepare.

Are you prepared for the next emergency, or natural disaster? If you want to know more about what to have at home to sustain your life and safety, then come to the “Prepper’s Fair,” at Be Ready Inc. in Oceanside on June 30.

The fair will be held in the parking lot at 602 Garrison Street in Oceanside, the home of Be Ready Inc., from 9 am. To 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2012.

The Be Ready Inc. staff is proud to announce the line-up of guest speakers who will teach about the importance of using modern “Ham Radio” technology for emergency communications following a disaster.  Expert San Diego ham radio operator, Steve Early will be on hand at this event to answer questions.

Carl Gardenias, is the Orange County section manager for the American Relay League. He is presenting a seminar on “Communications the first 5 hours.” He’ll explain how to make contact with your family and community when all the other communication lines are down.

You’ll also be able to meet vendors of the best collection of emergency goods and supplies available today. For example, you can learn about new products like; “Humless’” silent generators, which are solar powered. There will be a demonstration on how you can cook with the power of the sun. Others will show you how to have solar-powered lights, and radios.
