Week Ahead: What's Happening in Carlsbad

San Diego County offices, library branches and animal shelters will be closed on Monday in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday. Federal and state offices will also be closed, as will many businesses.

City of Carlsbad offices will be closed Monday as well. Trash will run on the normal schedule.
