Week Ahead: What's Happening in Carlsbad

New year, new you! Try something new in town this week!

The winter holidays are over for schoolchildren. Classes resume Monday for most schools in San Diego County.

Need help making and keeping your new year’s resolutions for 2014? Here’s a link to a government website that lists popular resolutions and the government agencies that can help. Not surprisingly losing weight is first on the list, and the National Institutes of Health have a plan for you.

On Friday discover what type of Yoga is right for you.
FUN FRIDAY: A TASTE OF YOGA
Join in for a 60 minute yoga class where several teachers from the co-op take turns teaching to give you a taste of different styles! This class is followed by a community potluck of snacks or beverage refreshments after.
Please bring something to share and someone to share yoga with!

On Saturday take a night off from the kids with:
AK Martial Arts & Fitness Parent Night Out
Join AK Martial Arts & Fitness for the first Parent Night out of 2014! They will have Glow in the Dark Laser Tag and Dancing at the event.  Pizza and treats are also included.  The Parent Night Out is open to ages 5 and up and the cost is $30 for the 1st child and $25 for each additional sibling.

Saturday is National Human Trafficking Awareness Day. An estimated 20 million men, women and children around the world are victims of human trafficking. You can take a free awareness-training course online.
