Proceeds benefit the San Diego County Crime Stoppers.

Cops and robbers will be running through Balboa Park in support of Crime Stoppers at the annual Light the Night Against Crime 5K this weekend.

Participants in the family friendly walk/run are welcome to wear costume uniforms, don prison stripes, dress like bandits and get creative with the cops and robbers theme.

It features  a law enforcement expo, a kids' zone, the Sheriff's Department's "Haunted Bus," and a prize for best Halloween costume.

Registration is $40 general, $22 children age 12 and younger. You can sign up online or at the event.
