Tractor Show Highlights One of San Diego's Most Usual Museums

The Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum's annual fall tractor show in Vista takes place from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

One of San Diego County's most usual museums, the Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum in Vista, is welcoming visitors to its annual fall tractor show.

Events Saturday and Sunday include tractor games at 11 a.m. followed by an antique-equipment parade at 1 p.m. There will also be demonstrations of threshing, grist milling, weaving, spinning, old gas engines and blacksmithing, plus wagon and train rides.

Located on 55 acres of rolling farm ground, the 37-year-old institution showcases over 20,000 pieces of farm equipment and tools from before the Civil War to the modern era.

Extended hours for the tractor show are 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Admission is $10 for adults, $9 for seniors, $7 for youths 6-12 and free for younger children.

The museum is located at 2040 North Santa Fe Avenue in Vista.
