Before you head out to the gas station to fill up for the holiday weekend, check out Patch's gas report. The price per gallon of regular gasoline in San Diego is well above the national average of $3.68, according to GasBuddy.com, so shop wisely. 

In Carlsbad, the least expensive price per gallon of regular was found at ARCO on Palomar Airport Road for $3.95, and the most expensive was $0.64 more per gallon at the Chevron and Mobile on Palomar Airport Road.
