Ethiopians Win Carlsbad 5000 and More Race Results
The race called "the world's fastest 5k" allows for participants of all levels from beginners to masters to achieve personal records.
Dejen Gebremeskel of Ethiopia was the fastest competitor in the Carlsbad 5000 on Sunday. He finished the 3.1 mile course in 13 minutes and 20 seconds.
Gebremeskel was also the silver medalist in the 5,000 meters at the London Olympics.
The top Elite Female was Geleta Burka of Ethiopia with a time of 15:26:00.
