On Saturday, Sept. 24 the Carlsbad community will come together to celebrate and raise money for arts education in North County schools at the annual event above the . For years this free event has been home to the captivating exhibit of street paintings, , talented Southern California artists creating and selling live art, music from great local bands, and performances by the and of .

Although ArtSplash is remaining true to most of the traditions that have made the event so successful in past years, this year a revamping of the usual “Taste of Carlsbad” will occur with the “Taste of ArtSplash.” Always a big draw for attendees, the new and improved “Taste of ArtSplash” will change the way members of the Carlsbad community eat and dine. Mike Moeller, the face of this year’s “Taste of Artsplash,” has brought on 13 local restaurants and vendors to supply delicious and filling samples of their own delicacies to any ArtSplash attendees wishing to partake. Of these 13 restaurants, Canyons Restaurant at , Carlsbad Gourmet, , and are expected to sample some of their greatest dishes to the Carlsbad community.

“Taste of ArtSplash” is from 2-5 p.m. It's a perfect opportunity to spend the day with your family enjoying the festivities of ArtSplash while eating great food.
