Photographer Daniel Lane captured photos of the Poinsettia Fire in Carlsbad on Thursday that tell a story of devastation. The fire, which started a day earlier near the Palomar Airport, damaged or destroyed about 30 Carlsbad residences and commercial buildings, downed power lines and forced thousands of evacuations.
