Wildfires continue to burn through San Diego County for the third consecutive day Thursday as hot weather and dry winds blanket Southern California.On Wednesday, several more blazes burned throughout the county: Tomahawk and Las Pulgas fires at Camp Pendleton, Freeway Fire in Deer Springs, Poinsettia Fire in Carlsbad, Highway Fire in Pala, Cocos Fire in San Marcos and Escondido, River Fire in Oceanside, Lakeside Fire and Escondido Fire.

Note: The Escondido Fire was extinguished Wednesday.
Crews have extinguished that small fire off the 2100 block of Bear Valley Parkway in Escondido, a dispatcher says. The blaze destroyed at least one outbuilding and several vehicles. No injuries have been reported.
